About the Sr. Consultant position
The Salesforce Sr. Consultants are responsible for facilitating business requirements sessions to gain an understanding of our customers’ process and technology needs in their sales and service functions and delivering related implementation work. The Consultant will work closely with clients to understand their business challenges and uncover existing gaps in their sales/service/custom processes. From those sessions, the Consultant will work with their delivery team to prototype best practice solutions and options for the clients to view during iterative and interactive prototyping and design sessions. As needed, the Consultant will produce related documentation around process, workflow, data model, configuration, test cases, training, administration and deployment.
As a Certified Salesforce individual, the Consultant should comfortably and confidently balance both technical and business input to recommend and present best practice solutions and implementation approaches that have the highest long term business impact for our clients. The Consultant has significant experience implementing Salesforce solutions and functionality while being a knowledgeable liaison between IT teams and business stakeholders during the implementation phase.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate sessions with clients to gather, understand, and define core business requirements
- Develop best practice Salesforce solution options and prototypes via interactive and iterative customer facing design and review sessions
- Work collaboratively with team members to optimize designs and solution that will provide a high impact business solution for the client
- Complete various configurations from design sessions within Salesforce and AppExchange products, or other cloud-based technologies
- Collaborate with developer team to test and verify that custom developed functions will support the business requirements while ensuring ease of administration and maintenance
- Analyze and review customer data to effectively map, transform, cleanse and migrate source data and related hierarchies into Salesforce instances
- Support and deliver as needed user acceptance testing and end user training
Requirements
- Dedicated problem solver focused on building high impact business solutions using Salesforce
- Self-starter and team player passionate about delivering the highest level of client satisfaction
- Hands on experience configuring Salesforce including workflows, validation rules, security controls, objects, reports, dashboards among other items
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly ramp up on and understand new client business processes
- Highly professional presentation, communication (written and verbal) skills, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks within a highly collaborative team environment
- Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
- Officially hold at least two current Salesforce certifications
- Studies and/or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, DBA or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, System Administrator or Systems Consultant for a mid-to-large sized organization working on implementing cloud-based technologies
- Familiarity with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation and load (ETL) tools
- Experience with Salesforce custom development preferred
- Located and able to work in the U.S. from a home office and able to travel occasionally
- Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer
